The Unity Event is the partnership created by Carnegie Arts Center, Highland High School and South Shore Orchestra. The mission of this partnership is to merge the professional and the academic – so that students, regardless of their schools resources, can experience a large-scale professional production through working with professional actors, directors and designers. Every year, the partners will produce a large format musical production on stage at the Monbeck Auditorium in Highland, Indiana.
We started in the fall of '11 with Evita - the iconic musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. This past fall in '12 we produced Miss Saigon. Thank you to everyone who made Miss Saigon - another success!
The producing partners are proud to announce their selection for 2013 - RAGTIME!
JUST POSTED - Audition information and dates!
Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, supported or cheered us on! It was a terrific first year with more than 750 people in the audience and nearly 300 people on stage, back stage and in the orchestra. The producing partners are looking at titles for next fall. Have an idea - post it on our Facebook page and look for our answer. Thank you again most sincerely - for showing your unity and supporting this event.
